So this is the New Year ?
Your guide to staying alive until 2017.
There are many ways to start the the New Year off in Jersey City. Which ever place you choose, make sure you are with close friends and family, and you don’t drive under the influence. [bless your heart if you are the designated driver]
Feel free to hop around downtown, if you stumble into any bar, you should find enough hats and noisemakers gearing up for the big ball dropper: I’m heading down to Asbury for a Dark City Entertainment’s Another 90’s New Years Eve at the Stone Pony. I’ll be teaming up with DJ Matty U [TFB] for some in between and presets fun. 6 great bands turn back for some Bill Clinton Era Jams with Weezer, Bush, Pearl Jam, The Cranberries, Oasis, and Nirvana to grunge out on.
Locally, as in anywhere you can walk/stumble there are many options, from the high end a Night to Remember complete with fireworks and premium drinks and food by chic pea, to many open bar optional options. At Lucky’s, DJ Nikki Mixx is spinning well after the ball drops [Lucky’s is open til 4am] and at Raval, George Soul will be spinning a Family Affair Mix of 80’s, House. Hip Hop, guess what folks, it’s a New Year’s Eve party, I would expect some upbeat fun. Both are free with the option of an $40 open bar.
Happy New Year !!
