Here’s what’s going on in Rock-it Docket world this weekend.
Friday [this is my usual day off], the hot water was restored in my apt and after a hot shower, I’m gonna make some rounds around. Tonight at the Dopeness JC’s Desir Decir + Shark Jumper + Rotten Blue Menace + The Described Mouth play. Word on the street is they are soon to get their liquor license, so this may be one of the last times before you can pack a six pack with you. If Live music isn’t you cans till pack a six pack and go to Drink and Draw at JC Art School. Also I thinks we got something going
on Saturday Night, I’ll be at Lucky’s for North Carolina’s Horizontal Hold, JC’s Babraham Lincoln, and Clifton’s Pioneer the eel. as usual it’s free and it starts early. I’ll be DJing afterwards. Pat Byrne’s Prove it all Night celebrates it’s First Year Anniversary at FMU’s Monty Hall. Don’t be fooled that tall good looking guy working with Pat isn’t my brother, but the fancy non-dancy Neil McAneny who regularly runs fun with me at Rock-it Docket.
on Sunday, The Historic JC & Harsimus Cemetery host our first annual “Goat-Stock” like everything we do this all volunteer run mission is fundraising to HELP keep this beautiful park in order. JC’s Native’s Life in a Blender play, along with The RocknRoll HiFives, The Porchistas, The Sea of Otters, Sean Kiely, and full schedule . New baby goats will be there, plus it’s so hot we are going to set up a pool, good eats from Honey bakery. If you can make the date please donate. If you haven’t been there, check out this Front Bottoms video HELP that just came out. You may recognize the old man. Sunday Night, IRIS records First Cut Sunday with Steve and Steve takes place. On Tuesday Night, the very talented Kayt Hester, celebrates 10 years of tearing it up in the art world with an exhibit at LITM. I luckily have the pleasure of feeding your ears while your eyes can feast on her work. Things start at 7 pm.
I’m fast wording to the Wednesday Groove on Grove. It’s a LIQUOR night and we’ve got Universal Rebel, Sylvana Joyce & the Moment, and San Simon starting things off for the JC World Tour Showcase. You can get your Bluegrass on at Union Republic on as well at [well I think you know where] at 8pm. DJ Dangerous Dave Feldman is at Lucky’s. without starting a new paragraph, DJ Sup Babes is on Tuesday Night.
