The Flu? strange weather ? whatever it is was/or shall be I’m ready to vitamin up and hunker down for a pretty full 5 day weekend with a Monkday Monday Show. Okay I’ll be brief from here. Tonight’s Thursday, or in Lucky 7’s terms. It’s Ladies Night. 8 pm drink magically get marked down 50% for anyone who uses the Ladies Room, just let us know if the toilet paper needs to be restocked 🙂 . I start DJing at 10pm. expect a mixture of ShopRite – The Rink in Bergenfield circa 1984 – and something I stole from a Millennial’s Spotify playlst. On Saturday Night, DJ Vidal could put me to shame, but he’s got no game, yeah whatever, reverse psychology your own issues.
Friday Night is Shayfer James March of Crows. A collaborative and Interpretative Art event at Grace Church. Here’s an excerpt from Shayfer on this. One year after the first March Of Crows, I am building upon this local collaborative arts project by writing songs based on murals and other forms of street art, then passing them on to artists of other mediums to further create art inspired by the process. It’ll all come together on March 10 during a free event Grace Church Van Vorst in Jersey City, New Jersey on Friday, March 10th. This year will feature jewelry and textile designs based on the songs/murals as well as dance. Participating Artists: Blair Urban, Joe Waks, Distoart, Mustart, Meagan Woods, Brandyn Heppard, Norman Kirby, Jacie D’Agostino, Liz Rovetta, Ron J Upperman, Lance A Michel, Luca Cosolito, Kelly Heaton, Andres Lo, Gabriel Perry, Beth Achenbach, Ariel Guidry, Athena Toledo, Brittany Graziosi. 8pm Grace Church $10 suggested donation – bring headphones – adult beverages available. Saturday Night : Less than a month after relocating his gallery to Jersey City. Jonathan Levine’s band Cyclone Static plays Porta this Saturday Night. Joined by Asbury Park’s dynamic duo Gay Guy | Straight Guy and Bayonne’s S.H.R.B. is playing after sequestering themselves indoors for the winter. As a follow-up on shows that I am hosting at Porta.. Looms, Francie Moon & pioneer the eel play Monkday Mondays an industry night, basement party, on when, yes you f*cking guessed it this Monday the 13th.
Sunday is Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Next Saturday the 18th. I’m teaming up with DJ Pot of Gold at Lucky 7’s for a ShamRock n Roll party.
